Mission-Driven Storytelling: HR Webinar
A 45 minute lecture-format webinar variant of Mission-Driven Storytelling, built for HR and people-manager audiences and designed for live delivery with no breakouts or partner exercises. Audience participation runs entirely through portal live-view polls and a solo virtual workbook write. Content is drawn from two source modules on the parent deliverable: Why Stories (MOD-0130), covering stories as flight simulators for the brain and the distinction between simulation and inspiration, and Storytelling Tools (MOD-0129), covering the SUCCESs framework, story science, and sensory descriptive detail. Story Spine, the Decker Grid, and the Personal Story Playbook are deliberately out of scope and live on the parent deliverable. Built first for The Mahoney Group, September 16 2026, and intended as a repeatable asset for HR association and conference audiences.

HR Webinar: Open and Framing
2 exercises · ~5 minOpening block for the 45 minute HR webinar. Welcomes participants, frames the session around one question (why do some stories stick and others die), and gets everyone into the portal workbook. Closes with an arrival poll that establishes a shared baseline on storytelling confidence and gives the facilitator a live read of the room before teaching begins.

HR Webinar: Why Stories
4 exercises · ~14 minCondensed lecture version of Why Stories (MOD-0130) for webinar delivery. Covers stories as flight simulators for the brain, the distinction between simulation (knowledge of how to act) and inspiration (motivation to act), and the shift from telling to showing. Uses the iPhone origin story as the single worked example. The mid-block poll asks participants to classify a real message they owe their team, which turns the simulation and inspiration distinction into a live diagnostic rather than a definition.

HR Webinar: What Makes a Story Good
5 exercises · ~18 minCondensed lecture version of Storytelling Tools (MOD-0129) for webinar delivery. Covers the SUCCESs framework as a diagnostic, the neuroscience of why stories hold attention and build connection, and sensory descriptive detail including the thinking mind. Replaces the 15 minute Childhood Description triad exercise with a 4 minute silent solo write in the virtual workbook, preserving the sensory fill-in structure while fitting a no-breakout webinar format. The sense audit poll runs immediately before the write so participants notice their own blind spot before attempting it.

HR Webinar: Close and Commitment
3 exercises · ~6 minClosing block for the 45 minute HR webinar. Recaps the three takeaways, then uses a commitment poll to have participants name which story type they will tell first and to whom. The commitment poll doubles as an engagement signal for follow up. Closes by pointing participants to the portal page, which remains open after the session with the Personal Story Playbook and further resources.
